Organizational Setup and Reporting Structure

The role of Senior/Risk Management Specialist is located in the Treasury and Liquidity Risk Division (RMTL) within the Office of Risk Management. The position is based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will be reporting to the Director, RMTL.

Your Responsibilities

As a (Senior) Risk Management Specialist, you will:
  • Identify, assess, monitor and report counterparty risk exposures related to ADB's investment, borrowing and derivative portfolios.
  • Evaluate and offer recommendations for crucial treasury counterparty risks.
  • Monitor changes in counterparties' credit ratings, conduct credit research and analyses, and review new counterparty requests.
  • Implement advanced risk analytics to enhance risk measurement and monitoring while staying updated on market developments and technologies.
  • Prepare regular risk reports for Management and Board review.
  • Collaborate on quantitative evaluation of treasury risk positions and ensure accurate confirmation of swap transactions.
  • Support system implementations and data projects to meet operational needs.
  • Develop and enforce risk management policies and systems to prevent financial crises.
  • Promote risk culture and compliance within ADB.
  • Organize risk training sessions and facilitate team coordination.
  • Engage with various departments at ADB to enhance risk awareness and compliance.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements

You should possess:
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or similar field; or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in capital markets and financial risk management, with expertise in treasury counterparty credit risk.
  • Strong quantitative skills in market and counterparty risk management.
  • Sound knowledge of financial concepts, risk tools, and global capital markets products.
  • Familiarity with ISDA Master Agreements and derivatives valuation.
  • Professional qualifications such as FRM or CFA would be advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and work in a diverse environment.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • International work experience is preferred.
