Position Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering who oversees the design and development of the software applications. The ideal candidate will apply their leadership skills in growing strong teams, be passionate about people management, and deliver a quality software product.

  1. Build, mentor, and grow the team, including hiring exceptional talent, and providing the skills and tools they need to succeed.
  2. Develop and iterate on processes and practices that keep your team executing efficiently. Continuous process improvement is expected.
  3. Work with product management to build relationships, influence business strategy, and help with the product roadmap.
  4. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, innovation, speed, and quality.
  5. Customer-focused and a scrum leader to deliver high-quality products.
  6. Review existing development practices, including architecture and CI/CD, and propose improvements.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams, and delivering high-quality software for customers.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade software.
  • Demonstrated success in people leadership in software development, particularly using an Agile process and leading with a DevOps approach for continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • A sense of personal ownership and accountability is required, along with the ability to deliver to deadlines while managing internal stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience in leading scrum meetings, sprint planning, and estimation.

Nice to have:

  • Excellent analytical skills with a systematic and structured approach to software design.
  • Experience working with a geographically and culturally diverse team and stakeholders.
  • Practiced Agile / Scrum methodology.
