The Programmer Analyst works under the supervision of the Project Management and Systems Development Unit Head and is responsible for the development and maintenance of application design, programs and related facilities according to approved client specifications and bank standards, troubleshooting of system problems, and implementation of corrective measures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provides technical inputs for simple to medium complexity user requirements for the preparation of impact document, business design documents or maintenance forms.

· For projects, interprets written business requirements for the preparation of technical specification documents and works closely with the project team for the details of specifications.

· Develops Design Documents for all application enhancements and in-house projects

· Codes simple to medium complexity programs to support the requirements documented in approved design documents.

· Performs coding in high standard practices and accuracy using written technical specifications and according to design guidelines and methodology provided by the project team.

· Performs Initial System Testing verifying test results and re- testing requirements; reviews other programmer analyst's test results.

· Investigates, analyzes, resolves and documents defects of the programs and performs maintenance programming and immediate corrections of identified defects of the application.

· Performs problem-fixing tasks on production systems.

· Works closely with the unit supervisor for any software development projects to ensure that technical specifications, programming requirements and bank policies on application development and implementation are compiled accordingly.
