AS400 Programmer Analyst

Developers/Programmers (Information & Communication Technology)

The AS400 Programmer Analyst will work on a team with responsibilities for enterprise-wide applications on the IBM AS400 (System i). Support of existing systems as well as new development. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining various applications in a fast paced user environment.

• Create modules across all applications from specifications within environment standards
• Maintain modules from user requests across all applications
• Development of test criteria to meet functional specifications
• Maintain the level of quality programming, assuring readability and consistency in meeting the Business requirements
• Develops and insure solutions meet the standard implementation methodology
• Maintains an awareness of innovative and creative information technology solutions to insure accurate identification or evaluation of the Business requirements

And, as expected of every employee of Canon Business Process Services Philippines, Inc. (CBPS), the AS400 Senior Programmer Analyst is expected to:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Expertise in systems productivity, data management, operating systems, new technology and product development life cycles
• A broad knowledge of development and implementation requirements
• A minimum of years experience in application development, maintenance and implementation experience on the AS400

/System i

• Advanced knowledge of standard office equipment

• Excellent Aptitude or experience in software programming
• Experience in RPG and CL programming and other AS400 / System i development tools

• Solid troubleshooting skills
• Communicate effectively with diverse groups, clients and users
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly assess and prioritize
• Work with peers and team to establish departmental decisions, processes and ensure standardized activities
• Ability to manage several projects/tickets simultaneously
• Ability to manage difficult users, employees and situations
