Job Overview:

The Direct Tax Senior Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day direct tax function which includes managing of Income Tax Returns, Local Business Tax, Real Property Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax, annual Business permits renewals and local business tax payments, BIR Reporting new/update of details/closure of branches, casualty losses, disputes and tax compliance. He/She also partners with the Business Owners (Tax & Risk Mgt) to understand the underlying business processes to ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place and accordance with the Philippines Government rule in terms of Tax payments and recording.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Monthly Income Tax Provisioning Package
  • Prepare, file and JV booking of the Quarterly Income Tax Return Package and Annual Income Tax Return Package including Tax Compliance
  • Annual Business Permit Renewal Package
  • Prepare Monthly Income Tax Provisioning Package
  • Prepare, file and JV booking of the Quarterly Income Tax Return Package and Annual Income Tax Return Package including Tax Compliance
  • Annual Business Permit Renewal Package
  • Quarterly & Annual Local Business Tax Payment Package
  • Quarterly and Annual Real Property Tax Return Package
  • Reconciliation, filing and payment of WHT on Compensation and Fringe Benefit Tax Package including Tax Compliance
  • Prepare BIR Form 1709 Related Party Transactions Return
  • Prepare quarterly income tax review template provided by Corporate Tax
  • BIR Reporting of Casualty Losses
  • BIR registration of new/update of details/closure of branches
  • LGU registration of new/update of details/closure of branches
  • Tax Authority Witnessing of Disposal of Inventories Management
  • Management of Balance Sheet Reconciliation and ensure books balances are reconciled
  • Completes other ad hoc analysis, special projects and duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 5-6 years experience in Direct Tax Accounting
  • Experience in Shared Services, Manufacturing, and/or Consumer Goods Industry
  • Excellent English communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Amenable on a hybrid work setup
  • Office based in Quezon City
  • Can start immediately is an advantage
