About the Role

To play a key role in delivering GBS Control Governance and Risk Management activities, including risk, controls, compliance and governance. This role will report to the Manager GBS Governance and Stewardship.

Process Governance

  • Establishing and enhancing GBS Control Governance, to oversee and govern process activities (in line with function and GBS accountabilities), which includes among others:
    • Performing control governance activities for GBS services (includes assessment, identification and facilitation as relevant to GBS)
    • Performing governance, quality assurance and continued improvement of GBS processes/projects, controls and documentation (Signavio), coordinating with Service Transition, Service Transformation, Experience Owners and Service Delivery teams.
    • Own the enterprise process model and standard for an E2E activity working closely with Experience Owners and Service Transformation in governing the standard and compliance to this.
    • Preparing the evaluation of process and technology changes as they impact GBS processes for approval
    • Internal Audit and Advisory support and facilitation, independent verification of adequate close out of audit actions, facilitation with GBS process owners to close observations, and monitoring of due dates for processes executed by GBS
    • Reviews the outputs of the team performing Positive Assurance activities and gets involved in communicating the results of Positive Assurance to the Experiences Owners and Service Delivery teams. Work with Service Delivery teams to identify the improvement opportunities in relation to control process execution.
  • Implementing, applying and improving the application of the BHP risk management framework, and coaching wider GBS teams on uplifting capability and enhancing the adoption and integration of the risk management framework.
  • Improving Service Delivery Lines approach to end to end risk management, embedding the tools, templates and mindset to uplift risk management identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, communication, documentation and integration with decision making, driving proactive end to end risk management
  • Drive Continuous Improvement in the Service Delivery lines risk management processes by analysing upstream and downstream control and risk impacts, past experiences incorporating lessons learnt and identification of emerging risks.
About You
  • Experience in Risk, Controls and/or Internal Audit
  • Experience in large multinational companies' environment
  • Strong understanding of BHP e2e process (as applicable to role)
