Information Security Team Lead with 14th month pay

Security (Information & Communication Technology)

As a member of the Information Security Team for Geo US, you will need a solid understanding of various Information Security concepts, frameworks, and tools. You are expected to take a strong, hands-on approach to develop of effective security policies, procedures, guides, implement security requirements, deliver a world-class training and awareness program, and optimize our security tools in an effort to minimize security risks.

Your primary duties for this role:

Professionally implement, maintain, and enhance the Information Security Program.

· Provide policy, technical guidance, and outreach to help teams improve their security posture.

· Develop and manage dashboards that deliver actionable metrics.

· Enhance our security awareness and training program.

· Expand and support our compliance attestation documentation including Business Continuity Plans, Risk Assessments, and other compliance resources.

· Support and manage our Information Security Management System and Asset Discovery solution.

· Analyze security-related incident tickets submitted by IT, business, and field stakeholders and propose appropriate risk mitigation solutions

· Assist with the execution of the Security Incident Response Process and recurring incident response training exercises

· Provides tracking and follow-up on IT issue management including threats, events and incidents

· Assists with calculation of inherent risks, mitigation strategies, and residual risk exposure of applications and services.

Other tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Execute tasks and help mature threat monitoring and vulnerability management capabilities and processes,

· Endpoint Protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) alert monitoring and risk mitigation planning

· Patch management process planning and task execution oversight

· Penetration Testing and Application Vulnerability Scanning remediation planning

· Review results from internal and external vulnerability scans and drive risk remediation planning

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

As an InfoSec member, this role will be engaging, possess a strong balance between technical expertise and business acumen, and embrace opportunities to become a difference maker in a constantly evolving global organization. This resource will have deep experience in threat monitoring and response and will be consistently aware of emerging trends and cybersecurity threats. This position will report to the Geography Information Security Officer (GISO), and task assistance will be provided by the Infosec Team Lead. Recent experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Vulnerability Management tools, writing code, scripts, and/or applications. Demonstrated ability to implement security controls and projects. A data-driven approach to drive improvements to the program. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Identifying Vulnerabilities: This includes everything from outdated software to identifying which employees have access to sensitive data. Once vulnerabilities have been identified, they can then be addressed through patching, employee training, or other measures.

Implementing Security Controls: Once vulnerabilities have been identified, it is important to put security controls in place to mitigate the risk of an attack. This might include things like installing firewalls, encrypting data, or implementing two-factor authentication.

Monitoring Activity: Another key responsibility of cyber security is to continuously monitor activity on the network for signs of an attempted or successful intrusion. By monitoring activity on the network, it is possible to detect and respond to a threat quickly.

Responding to Incidents: Despite our best efforts, sometimes cyber-attacks do happen. When they do, it is important to have a plan in place for how to respond. This might include steps like notifying law enforcement, restoring from backups, or issuing a public statement. The goal is to resolve the incident as quickly as possible and minimize the damage caused.

Keeping up with Trends: The world of cyber security is always changing, with new threats emerging all the time. As a result, it is important to keep up with current trends and developments in the field in order to ensure that your business's assets are properly protected.

Two US onshore members

Education and/or Experience:

Security Certifications in one or more of the following areas: CompTIA Security +, CySA+, CASP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, AWS Cloud Practitioner. Broad understanding of security frameworks, security controls, security compliances, security architecture, and security concepts. Prior experience with security strategies and security programs is a huge benefit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Five years of experience in the field.
  • Industry standard security certifications such as CompTIA Security +, and CISSP certification preferred.
