Overall purpose, duties and responsibilities of the role:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Investment Operations Senior Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day preparations of trade instructions to counterparties to facilitate investment related transactions.
  • She/He will validate accuracy and keep records of investment transactions, which are inputs for Finance bookkeeping and recording.
  • She/He will prepare or otherwise assist in preparing investment reports for Investment Management Head & other stakeholders.
  • She/He will help in the User Acceptance Testing for the set up and maintenance of the investment management system.
  • As necessary, she/he will also provide back-up coverage for investment operations officer function.
  • She/He will coordinate with Unit-linked Funds' fund manager in ensuring that unit-linked funds are within risk limits and compliant to the Investment Policy Statements.
  • She/He will be responsible for coordinating with Risk and Finance for required reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Business & Accounting
  • Professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or investments is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in investment or accounting function
  • Work experience in life insurance industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated organized
