About the Role

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, your primary focus will be on ensuring our organization's adherence to regulatory requirements. You will focus on supporting, developing and implementing robust Regulatory Compliance programs that encompass areas such as, but not limited to, consumer protection, financial regulations, and other industry-specific regulatory requirements. In this role, you will play an important part in conducting risk assessments, monitoring regulatory changes, and providing guidance to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will also collaborate with other Business Units to develop and deliver training programs that promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization. By leveraging your expertise, you will help our organization navigate complex regulatory landscapes and maintain a strong regulatory compliance reputation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Governance:

  • Regularly review and assist in updating policies and standards related to compliance with general regulations on a regular basis and/or as needed.
  • Conduct Gap Analysis of new and amended regulations, advisories, etc., and take necessary actions to address identified gaps.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the environment, legal and regulatory landscape, and business trends to identify emerging risks and align them with Regulatory Compliance initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to align strategic and tactical initiatives of the organization with laws, regulations, and Group-mandated policies to enhance the organization's value.
  • Timely cascade of any material and relevant regulations to appropriate stakeholders.

Reporting:

  • Regulatory Compliance-related report submissions within turnaround time (TAT).
  • Develop, review, and maintain key risk indicators applicable to Regulatory Compliance.
  • Coordinate all communications mandated for Regulatory Compliance.

Expert Advice:

  • Support in defining and executing risk-based compliance testing in relation to general regulations (and other group-mandated assurance activities)
  • Provide assistance in both internal and external regulatory audits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.

Transformation:

  • Provide expert support as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in driving the operational transformation of Regulatory Compliance initiatives.

Education and Training:

  • Assist in the development of comprehensive training modules related to Regulatory Compliance, ensuring that they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Conduct trainings within the organization to educate employees on Regulatory Compliance.
  • Collaborate in the creation and dissemination of advisories that provide guidance on identifying and complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Attend relevant trainings to stay up

Risk Support:

  • Provide support in identifying and addressing operational, financial, and regulatory compliance risks associated with general regulatory compliance.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Law or related courses.
  • At least 3 years of experience in handling regulatory requirements, compliance, and reporting in a financial institution or consulting firms with focus on financial services.
  • Knowledge in Regulatory Compliance operating model design and implementation.
  • Risk management experience with proven ability to effectively apply risk principles to challenging business situations.
  • Previous experience in handling gap analysis and a system for regulatory inventory

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Desirable – Graduate of Law, any local or international Regulatory Compliance certifications or licenses
  • Received data analytics training or has attended data analytics certificate programs.

  • Strong communication skills and experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
