  • Review all transactions and journal entries on the university's asset accounts, liability accounts, and property and equipment accounts.
  • Reconcile the balances of asset accounts based on the general and the subsidiary ledgers.
  • Submit a monthly reconciliation statement containing the necessary adjusting entries for asset accounts.
  • Develop mechanisms to ensure that the balances of the asset accounts are fairly stated.
  • Document the applicable accounting policies based on the international financial reporting standards for the asset accounts and prepare the disclosure requirements for the year-end financial statements.
  • Identify and assess the risks on the asset accounts and develop the necessary control activities to mitigate those risks.
  • Analyze the managerial implications of the data contained in the asset accounts.

Qualifications

  • A Certified Public Accountant
  • At least three years of experience in audit, accounting, or Finance works
  • With a deep understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards, specifically the preparation of the Notes to Financial Statements
  • With a deep understanding of the principles or frameworks of risk management and
    internal controls
  • With an excellent level of ICT skills
  • Analytical, open to new knowledge, and a team player
  • Higher level of skills in writing communication materials, including reports.
