Tech-savvy Accountants Wanted:

Employment type: Full-time

Shift: Day Shift, 7AM to 4PM with Flexibility

Work Setup: Permanent WFH

Your Role in Shaping Financial Futures

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
  • Review and analyse accounts to ensure proper classification and accurate recording of transactions.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.

Tax Compliance:

  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and supporting schedules, including income tax and sales tax filings.
  • Stay updated on tax regulations and changes to ensure compliance and optimise tax strategies.
  • Support with accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliations as required, including entry into the accounting system and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

General:

  • Stay up to date with market trends as they relate to your role.
  • Take an active role in your own professional development.
  • Collaborate with peers on shared projects (as required) in line with BoardPro's strategy.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Health and Safety at work and related working practices.

  • Any other tasks as reasonably requested from your manager.

Technical:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software as well as Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of GAAP.
  • Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
