Job Overview:
The Web Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our company's websites, including our Shopify store and other online platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and has experience in web development, with a focus on Shopify and other e-commerce platforms. This role requires strong technical skills and a passion for creating user-friendly, visually appealing, and high-performing websites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designed, developed, and maintained the company's websites, including Shopify store and other web properties.
  • Customize and optimize Shopify themes and templates to match the company's branding and business needs.
  • Implement new features, plugins, and integrations to enhance the functionality and performance of the websites.
  • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to create and optimize user experiences and customer journeys.
  • Ensure all websites are fully responsive, mobile-friendly, and accessible across different devices and browsers.
  • Perform ongoing website maintenance, including troubleshooting and fixing bugs, ensuring up-to-date security patches, and backups.
  • Monitor website performance and use analytics tools to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize website elements and improve conversion rates.
  • Work closely with the content team to ensure all content is optimized for SEO and adheres to best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on Shopify development and customization.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language).
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and implementation strategies.
  • Familiarity with web design principles and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms, such as WooCommerce or Magento.
  • Knowledge of server-side languages such as PHP, Ruby, or Python.
