AU Accountant

Prime Function
Production of financial figures for the Company, delivering accurate historical and forecast financial reporting in compliance with set deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the CFO in the preparation and maintenance of the Company's annual budget and cash-flow forecasts and provide monthly forecast updates with analysis on Company's actual performance versus projections and objectives. Reporting includes but is not limited to; Income statement; balance sheet; corporate forecast; cash flow; corporate and trust BAS preparation and submission; and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage all Finance Helpdesk queries, action and/or delegate for required actions within 2 business days.
- Assist with bank reconciliations weekly for the trading, trust and foreign currency accounts (if required).
- Manage debtor movements and reporting to Project Managers and Senior Management, includes invoice approvals before sending to client.
- Complete all month end processes including but not limited to update of working papers, entry of month end journals, management / entry of cost recoveries.
- Prepare the monthly Project Income Sheet (which records actuals and forecasts for each project undertaken).
- In collaboration with the HR People and Culture Manager, conduct monthly payroll reconciliations and journals ensuring accuracy of salary payments. Monthly submission and payment of payroll tax. Maintain a salary control sheet linking to budget/forecasting.
- Respond to queries for assistance from operational staff for project budgets, adjust formulas as authorised/required, and reconcile /close project budgets within contracted timeframes of 3 months post event. Regularly review projects to ensure accuracy of financial information.
- Insurances: conduct an annual review (with external brokers) and renewal; review and submit required information for Workers' Compensation insurances for all office locations.
- Administration of payment gateways and accounting systems.
- Identify and implement improvements in finance processes that focus on adding value and creating efficiency within the Finance team.
- Production of analysis as requested or as identified to be beneficial to the financial information / reports and forecasting.
- Investigate, stay informed, and apply all relevant legislation and ensure statutory/legal requirements are being met across all areas of the business.
- Liaise with accountants/auditors, as authorised, as required and in respect of audits.
- To act in the best interests of the Company at all times.
- Any other ad-hoc projects or tasks as advised by the Chief Financial Officer. Note: A detailed task list and required timeline will be provided.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
Essential
- Diploma or Bachelor in Business Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum three years' experience in a similar position.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Experience with accounting packages.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Advanced ability to multi-task.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Forward-thinking experience in general accounting and administration support.
- Strong team player who is self driven.
Operational Requirements
- Usual business hours are required Monday to Friday, specific to role location.
- Some weekend and/or out of hours work may be required depending on events and business levels.
- Attendance at and participation in employee team activities from time to time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php38, Php40,000.00 per month
