Financial Accounting & Reporting Senior Specialist will be under the supervision of the Finance Accounting and Reporting Associate Manager (FAR-AM) under the General Accounting. This person will assist in the application of accounting operational policies and performance of tasks related to general accounting and bank reconciliation; head office reporting; and financial and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Should be able to complete the bank recon on a timely manner, be able to focus on coordination and clearing of recon items on a timely manner with other teams (Premium Management, Investment accounting, Disbursement Accounting) and assist in the optimization of the bank recon automation tool with the aim of eventually performing the bank recon on a daily basis.
  • Assist in BS Recons assigned and submit in timely manner
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for FS close process (majority: bank charges, CCRE, Fixed Asset, assistance in: HR accruals, Opex recurring and non-recurring accruals, non-operating expenses
  • Assist in adhoc tasks (LA or various reports that needs investigation) and UAT's.
  • Assist in EY audit and AS preparation

Knowledge and Skills:

Education & Certification: College Graduate, preferably of accounting or accounting related course.

Experience: Work experience with audit firm is preferred but not required.

Experienced in preparing bank recon, BS recon, financial reports, fixed assets, and preparation of audit schedules. Insurance experience is a plus.
