The Associate Editor is responsible in directing the preparation and generation of the website's content. In partnership with the editor-in-chief, he / she also functions as the visionary of the website.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Write and edit articles for the website;
  • Conduct and transcribe interviews;
  • Designate assignments to writers and photographers to obtain coverage of matters of news or interest;
  • Review and copy edit articles, captions, blurbs, etc., to make sure that it follow the website's required style and format;
  • Oversee and help mentor junior editors in coming up with fresh and relevant articles for the site;
  • Regularly updates him/herself with the latest trends or topics related to the brand;
  • Participate in editorial brainstorms for upcoming issues and participate in photo shoots;
  • Act as brand guardian in terms of site content and articles.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Mass Communications, Advertising/Media, Journalism or any related field.
  • At least 2 years in editorial roles, preferably within lifestyle, beauty, or relationships-focused media.
  • Proven experience in writing, editing, and proofreading articles. A portfolio demonstrating a range of content, including features, interviews, and listicles, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with online publishing, content management systems (CMS), and SEO best practices. Experience with social media management and content strategy is a plus.
