The Finance Operations Manager will drive the day-to-day best practices within the finance & accounting team and in company wide cross-functional projects to maximize efficiencies and growth.

The role will supervise the overall daily and end-to-end finance & accounting operations which includes procurement & payment processings, cash advances, liquidations & reimbursements processing, student allowances, accounts receivables & billings, books of accounts and cash management.

The role will also work hand-in-hand with the Chief Finance Officer as a support on certain duties such as financial analysis & management reporting, financial planning & modeling, budget forecasting & monitoring and strategic planning.

Finance Operations

  • Supervise & approve the daily transactions of the various finance & accounting functions, encompassing purchase orders & payments processing, cash advances, liquidations & reimbursements processing, student allowances, accounts receivables & billings, books of accounts and cash management;
  • Manage the Petty Cash Fund both as primary company custodian and auditor for funds with custodians from other teams;
  • Approve expense reports reviewed by the finance assistant for accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies and track accounts payable levels;
  • Review and approve Daily Cash Reports prepared by the finance assistant;
  • Ensure receivable collections are closely monitored and KPIs are met;
  • Prepare Weekly Budget vs Expense/Cash Outflows Report;
  • Serve as the primary daily contact with affiliates (i.e., CFC, IBSI - other Lopez group subsidiaries) whom we worked hand-in-hand with finance operations;
  • Assist the Chief Finance Officer in preparing periodic reports for financial analysis and management reporting (i.e., actuals vs. budget, actuals vs. prior periods);
  • Assist the Chief Finance Officer in preparing strategic planning reports for annual corporate budgeting, forecast modeling and its tracking vs actuals;
  • Develop and put into practice procedures for handling finances and accounting, review accounting discrepancies and recommend corrective actions;
  • Focal point with external entities such as bookkeeping company, auditor, tax authorities, & other relevant government agencies etc;
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business;
  • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes;

Customer Experience

  • "Finance as a Service" mindset - build and cultivate positive and profitable relationships with customers, both internal and external, through quality and efficient customer service;
  • Partner with key members of the School to develop strong client relationships;
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the customer's end-to-end experience are excellent in every touchpoint;

Performance Management and Coaching

  • Develop and train team members and other employees to have the right process knowledge and understanding of operational policies for compliance and efficiency;
  • Ensure that each team member understands and complies to the employee handbook and code of conduct;
  • Provide the necessary support and coaching for team members to succeed;
  • Implement the performance appraisal system that drives high productivity;
  • Cultivate a culture of objective and constructive feedback given in a timely manner;
