Job Description

  • Asks quotations from accredited banks for various instruments on money market placements
  • Sees to it that all market money placements are invested in high yielding instruments with accredited banks and are within investment limits set by Management
  • Positions placements with maturing liabilities and maintains minimum cash in bank balances
  • Consults with Treasurers Department from time to time regarding bank quotations to make sure that rates quoted to the Subsidiaries are at least the same with Petron
  • Seeks approval of the company Treasurer or the Executive Director the Investment Trading Form before all money market placements with banks are made
  • Prepares letter-advise to banks or check for money market placements and makes sure that letter-advise or check is signed by authorized signatories
  • Processes payment of vendor invoices and checks completeness of documents prior to check preparation
  • Writes check to vendors, contractors and insured based on duly approved invoices/bills or payment orders
  • Handles the companies' petty cash funds and observes disbursement limits as specified in the Petty Cash Fund Instruction
  • Handles the remittances of VAT, taxes withheld and the corporate income tax to the BIR
  • Issues certificate to vendors for taxes withheld
  • Prepares deposit slips and deposits collection with the depository banks
  • Maintains control of checks and cash receipts
  • Prepares daily cash position report and on a weekly basis, reports to Treasurers Department the investment portfolio of the Subsidiaries for consolidation
  • Cultivates and maintains harmonious relationships with banks
  • Performs other functions that maybe assigned by the Head-Finance and Support Services from time to time

     

    Qualifications

    • Must be amenable to work onsite (Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM) in Mandaluyong City office
    • Must have CPA License
    • Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
    • Must have good communication skills
