Business Analyst and Quality Assurance

We are seeking a versatile Business and Quality Assurance Analyst who will play a dual role in our organization. This hybrid position requires a blend of skills from both IT business analysis and quality assurance engineering. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions meet business needs and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirementsAnalyze and translate business needs into technical specificationsDesign and implement comprehensive test plans and test casesExecute manual and automated testing to ensure product quality and performanceIdentify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with developers for resolutionConduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure successful implementation of new featuresContinuously improve processes and tools to enhance product quality and team efficiencyProvide detailed analysis and reporting on test results and quality metricsDetermine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formatsConstruct workflow charts and diagrams; study system capabilities; write Functional Specification Documents (FSD)Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modificationsRecommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved proceduresContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededInterpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data to develop integrated business analyses and projections for strategic decision-makingUnderstand and communicate the financial and operational impact of changesSuggest changes to senior management using analytics to support recommendations and actively participate in the implementation of approved changesConduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issuesDefine QA strategy, approach, and execution in development projectsProvide technical expertise in Quality Assurance and TestingEnsure development teams adhere to QA principles, guidelines, and best practicesFocus on continuous QA improvements, including the use of appropriate testing tools and techniquesGather and present testing metrics and activities for projects to key stakeholdersEnsure proper usage of available tools to maximize the benefit of the QA effort, including tools for functional tests

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Business Analyst and Quality Assurance EngineerStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologiesProficiency in requirement gathering, documentation, and analysisExperience with test automation tools and frameworksExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologiesFamiliarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail
