Quantity Surveyor (Cement Manufacturing) Job Description: 

SINOMA CBMIPH Construction  Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. As a key player in the construction industry, we are committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our clients while maintaining cost efficiency and sustainability.

 

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive quantity surveys and cost estimates for cement manufacturing projects, including new construction, renovations and upgrades.Analyze project specifications, blueprints and technical documents to accurately assess materials, labor and equipment requirements.Collaborate with engineering, procurement and project management teams to develop accurate cost models and budgets for each project phase.Utilize industry-specific knowledge of cement manufacturing processes, materials and cost structures to optimize project finances and resource utilization.Prepare tender documents, contracts and procurement strategies in collaboration with procurement and legal departments.Monitor project expenditures, track cost variations and identify potential cost-saving opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.Provide technical expertise and guidance on cost management, value engineering and risk mitigation strategies to project stakeholders.Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify quantities, assess progress and address any cost-related issues or discrepancies.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the cement manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of cement production processes, materials and cost structures.Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools  or similar applications.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents, drawings and specifications accurately.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in quantity calculations and cost analysis.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and best practices in the construction and cement manufacturing industry.Professional certification or membership in relevant professional associations is a plus.
