About the General Manager (Fintech) Role:
The General Manager role will oversee all operational aspects, guaranteeing success through the development and execution of strategic plans, supervision of daily tasks, and enhancement of processes. This role plays a critical part in shaping the company's direction, fostering innovation, and delivering value while upholding its mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive commercial outcomes in the Philippines, focusing on both top-line and bottom-line growth
  • Formulate market strategies aligned with regional objectives and parameters
  • Serve as a prominent advocate for customers and partners externally and for the business and local market internally
  • Collaborate with and advise marketing and branding teams to enhance local brand presence
  • Engage in negotiations and provides support for partnerships with various entities such as e-commerce platforms, fintech firms, and major retailers, in conjunction with the business development team
  • Collaborate closely with the local Head of Finance to ensure adherence to agreed-upon budgets
  • Act as a key cross-functional partner to various headquarters teams critical for successful plan execution, including tech, product, legal, marketing, human resources, and finance
  • Oversee general office operations and implements effective management strategies

To excel in this General Manager (Fintech) position, you should possess first-hand experience in establishing a retail credit business, encompassing areas such as credit cards and other unsecured personal loans, among others.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is required
  • Over 10 years of substantial and pertinent experience in banking, fintech, and financial services, with direct involvement in establishing a credit business, including credit cards and other unsecured personal loans
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, effectively guiding and motivating teams to enhance business growth and achieve financial objectives
  • Comprehensive understanding of local regulatory frameworks and financial industry practices specific to the Philippines
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated perseverance, tenacity, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
