Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and resolve security incidents for our organization and clients.Stay current with the latest information security threats and defensive measures.Respond effectively to tasks involving computer security vulnerabilities, phishing, and malware investigations.Identify and address issues with IPS and IDS systems; proficient in monitoring and analyzing network packets and security event logs.Escalate issues to appropriate personnel to ensure timely resolution of trouble tickets.Assist in deploying, monitoring, and managing various security technologies, including Fortinet, Rapid7, IDS/IPS systems, antivirus software, and other security solutions.Ensure all implemented projects adhere to best practice security standards.Support the company by testing and evaluating new technologies and security controls.Conduct vulnerability assessments, network audits, and network security evaluations.Other essential duties as required by the work location or assignment.

Requirements

Proficiency in network monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and configuration control technologiesStrong skills in troubleshooting security incidentsExperience with antivirus softwareFamiliarity with intrusion detection systems and firewallsCore understanding of network security and infrastructureSolid background in LinuxKnowledge and understanding of information security principlesAwareness of security best practice guidelines (e.g., ISO 27002/3, NIST)Knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, SOX)Ability to conduct log and system analysis for various systems, including network and security devices such as Rapid7, Nessus, firewalls, WAFs, database monitoring solutions, identity management solutions, virtualized platforms, and Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems

Desired Skills and Experience

3-5 years of professional experience in information systems (experience in information security or incident response teams is advantageous)Extensive knowledge of IT network security technologies (e.g., infrastructure security, identity and access management), applications (such as web servers, messaging systems, DNS, proxy servers, firewalls), information system infrastructures, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix), as well as proficiency in understanding processes, policies, and standardsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing conversations and delivering messages to diverse audiencesUnderstanding of risk management and security controlsSolid grasp of business organization and internal support structures and processesExperience using packet capturing tools for analysis, such as WiresharkProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Self-motivated with a keen attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively in team environmentsEffective multitasking and dynamic prioritization skills, demonstrating proven time management abilitiesExceptional communication and relationship-building abilitiesWilling to work onsiteWilling to be assigned in the night shift
