Information Security Analyst

At Insight, we're seeking a skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in helping us protect our organization's information assets from cyber threats.

Job Summary

The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing security standards and best practices, conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and educating the workforce on information security. This role requires a strong understanding of security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, as well as experience with security technologies and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security standards and best practices to protect the organization's information assets
  • Conduct periodic scans of networks to identify vulnerabilities and conduct penetration testing to simulate attacks
  • Educate the workforce on information security through training and awareness programs
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents to ensure protection from potential leaks of malicious activity
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure timely remediation of issues and vulnerabilities
  • Manage Internet and Intranet security-based issues by performing firewall policy audits and reviewing security logs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Security Analyst/Network Administrator or equivalent knowledge
  • Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) or equivalent
  • Experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, firewalls, vulnerability management systems, and endpoint security products
  • Knowledge at the intermediate-expert level of current security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
  • Experience facilitating SOX, SOC, PCI, and ISO27001 audits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of various operating system flavors, security methodologies, and technical security solutions
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications
