In this capacity, you will be involved in the gathering of newsletter content and preparing articles and feeds that can be used in the sustainability report. This gives you a very vital role in helping drive growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• To develop, enhance, and implement strategic communication plans to support and influence Emerson’s environmental sustainability thought leadership.

• To write, compile, and edit internal and external materials, such as blog posts, press releases, slide decks, newsletters, website content, etc., to translate technical material and EMR capabilities for corporate wider audiences.

• To liaise and coordinate on behalf of the sustainability team across Emerson’s network of SMEs, partners, and key collaborators to deliver events such as the webinar series.

• To track, evaluate, and report metrics of success and adapt strategies to grow and improve outreach results.

• To use marketing tools and insights to identify and expand audiences and measure progress.

• To help drive Emerson’s Global Green Teams program to expand the scope and reach of our volunteer-based local sustainability organizations.

• To support the implementation of global sustainability initiatives and campaigns to foster a culture of sustainability within the organization and recognize employee effort.

Who You Are:

You are a passionate individual motivated to drive environmental sustainability progress with a creative mind and a global footprint. You are a critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and can balance thinking and planning with actions. You take time to ask questions, define the problem, and make learning a priority. You engage in collaborative projects and deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• 3–5 years of experience in the communications field.

• Experience in ESG, sustainability, and/or corporate social responsibility-focused communication efforts with strong understanding of the core sustainability issues.

• Experience in creating, managing, and implementing complex communication plans, including email marketing, newsletters, and publication development.

• Proficiency in Office 365 tools (PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Excel, etc.).

• Strong skills in using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) tools.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Some understanding of broad corporate sustainability reporting principles, frameworks, measurement, and carbon emissions accounting/reporting is a plus.
