Duties and responsibilities:

Supervising Staff: Managing and leading a team of logistics personnel, including hiring, training, and evaluating employees.Coordinating Shipments: Overseeing the scheduling and tracking of shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with company policies.Maintaining Records: Keeping detailed records of all logistics activities, including shipment and delivery times, inventory levels, and staff performance.Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring all logistics activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Improving Processes: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Customer Service: Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints from clients or vendors related to logistics services.Budget Management: Managing budgets and expenses related to logistics operations, ensuring cost-effective practices.Safety and Security: Ensuring the safety and security of goods during storage and transportation.Collaboration: Working closely with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and production, to coordinate with logistics activities and support overall business objectives.Performance Metrics: Setting and monitoring performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of logistics operations and making adjustments as needed.Technology Utilization: Utilizing logistics management software and technology to streamline operations and improve efficiency.Reporting: Preparing and presenting regular reports on logistics activities, performance, and any issues to senior management.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a logistics environment.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities in a fast paced environment.
