DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops implements and promotes occupational safety programs in the plant.Assists management in complying with the provisions of the standards especially in the submission of reporting documents. This includes safety regulations in order to ensure that proper measures are being taken to protect the safety of the employees, visitors, facilities and plant-wide.Performs appraisal/assessment of the implementation of occupational health 7 safety programs in the workplace. This includes monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations.To be present during scheduled safety inspections by authorized government agencies and as requested during regular safety meetings. As well as prepares occupational reports as required by the standards and DOLE.Responsible for conducting inspection and investigation of all incidents, injuries and hazardous working conditions and making recommendations on how to resolve it.Organizes health & safety meetingConducts 8 hours mandatory health & safety orientation to newly hired employees.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any field)Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Safety OfficerPreferably with safety-related training, including but not limited to BOSH Training
