Trust Accountant/Real Estate Accountant

JOB DETAIL
This role is a very important and key role for the month end closing of accounts and payments to clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Trust Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in trust accounting for Australian businesses, with proficiency in MYOB and/or Xero. This position is with a reputable real estate company, and we are looking for an individual who thrives in a meticulous and perfectionist work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Trust Accounting:
Responsible for overseeing multiple trust bank accounts and ensuring that all accounting processes related to the accounts are completed in accordance with statutory requirements.Prepare, process and reconcile settlement transactions for clientsPerform month end tasks relating to the trust accounts, working to strict deadlinesSupport senior staff members as required and liaise with external accountants and shareholders.Reconciliation of ledgers and bank accountsDaily Receipting for rental and estate trust accountsReporting directly to the Finance ManagerPerform any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in property management or real estate. Previous trust accounting experience a must
Software Proficiency:
Must have knowledge and experience in working with XERO and/or MYOB accounting system.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) & Reporting (VLOOKUP etc.)

Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred but not required:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Outstanding organizational and planning skills with ability to multitask effectively, manage timelines and meet deadlines.
Work Location / Working shifts:
Pasig City; NSW Business hours; NSW Legal Holidays Off ; Hybrid setup (3 x a week onsite)
