This company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Office Audit Department Head to join their dynamic team. What you'll do:
As the Head Office Audit Department Head, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our client's internal audit function. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive departmental audit plans based on robust risk assessments, including inputs from board directors and senior management. Your role will involve implementing and monitoring these plans, overseeing regular audits, special investigations, and continuous reviews. You will also ensure that your department is adequately staffed with qualified individuals capable of accomplishing its mandate. Your contribution to the organisation's governance and control strategies will be invaluable.

  • Assist in ensuring that the internal audit function complies with sound internal auditing standards
  • Develop a departmental audit plan based on robust risk assessment
  • Implement and monitor the department's annual audit plan
  • Oversee the conduct of regular/spot audits/special/fraud/forensic investigations/continuous reviews under your area of responsibility
  • Ensure that the internal audit function has adequate human resources with sufficient qualifications and skills necessary to accomplish its mandate
  • Contribute significantly to the organisation's governance and control strategies

What you bring:
The ideal Audit Department Head brings a wealth of experience in internal audit or bank operations. With at least 10 years' experience under your belt, you are well-versed in auditing procedures and techniques as well as accounting principles and standards. Your knowledge extends to risk management, governance and control strategies, bank products, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. You are proficient in information technology, information security, and fraud/forensic investigation. Your professional certifications, such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE, further attest to your qualifications.

  • Graduate of BS accountancy or equivalent qualification
  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent professional certification such as CIA, CISA, CFE
  • At least 10 years' experience in internal audit or bank operations
  • Strong understanding of auditing procedures and techniques; accounting principles and standards
  • Knowledge of risk management, governance and control; bank products, policies and procedures; regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in information technology; information security; fraud/forensic investigation
