The Role

The Role is responsible for leading and overseeing the purchase of goods and services for the Company. He/She shall be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams, and managing the purchasing staff. He/She shall deliver the supply chain element of major bids and projects, support and promote the product development and introduction, and track metrics to reduce expenses and mitigate risks.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The Procurement Head shall lead the Procurement Team in developing and executing Procurement strategies.Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.Craft negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms.Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.Control the Procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Economics, Advertising/Media, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Mass CommunicationsFive years’ Procurement experience, 2 years in a Management roleKnowledge on supply chain, bidding and negotiation processNegotiation, supplier management and multi-tasking skills.Ability to assess the best cost without sacrificing quality and value.
