Cadet Engineer

MMC is looking for a dynamic and highly driven fresh graduate engineer, preferably a Mechanical or Civil board passer, to join their growing team in Alabang.

The Cadet Engineer is mainly responsible for estimating, interpreting construction drawings, shop detailing using solidworks, material take off, quality assurance/control (QAQC) documentation and other reporting services to assist Australian business teams.

Job Qualifications:

· Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/ College Degree, preferably in Mechanical, Civil or equivalent

· Preferably a board passer either in Mechanical or Civil Engineering

· Has good interpersonal and communication skills

· Has eagerness to learn and willing to be trained

· Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Job Description:

· Review project specification and drawings

· Apply tender methodology i.e. Scope of Works

· Create comprehensive bill of quantities during tender/quote stage of projects

· Work on labor rates, project management, supervision, plant and equipment, preliminary, general and margin, prepare tags and clarifications

· Ensure estimates are executed in accordance with the client's specifications or design brief and the company’s procedures

· Register and submit tender documents

· Generate accurate, comprehensive materials order lists from shop fabrication detail drawings during start-up stage of new jobs

· Apply project planning and progress reporting skills

· Responsible for outsourcing duties such as procurement and subcontractor liaison (e.g. steel, fasteners, surface treatment providers, 3rd Party manufacturers)

· Review, write and improve QAQC documentation before, during and after project/job

· Compile and submit QAQC Material Data Records. (MDR)

· Shop detailing activities

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and excel in the following fields:

· Knowledge on construction and maintenance industries

· Ability to read architectural, structural mechanical and piping drawings.

· Ability to prepare material and labour take-offs for project estimates.

· Experience in QAQC documentation and MDR compilation is a plus.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Solidworks and other detailing software.
