Key Responsibilities
Network Administration Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability. Collaborate with global teams to support VPNs, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity. Security Operations Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and SIEM platforms. Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation activities. Support incident response and forensic investigations. Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to global cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA). Participate in internal and external audits related to IT security and infrastructure. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and security procedures. Provide regular reports on network health, security posture, and incident metrics. The Successful Applicant A successful Network Security Engineer should have:
Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and cybersecurity roles, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated industry. Technical
Skills:
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols. Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar network/security platforms. Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure. Proficiency in scripting (Power Shell, Python) is a plus.
