In joint venture with the Ayala Corporation and Kmart Group Australia, the first Anko store in the Philippines was launched late 2024 in Makati with five stores now available across Metro Manila. These Anko stores provide shoppers with quality, design, and affordability all in one place with products across key categories like home, kitchen, toys, and beauty.

Anko Visual Merchandise Managers are crucial to our company’s success. They lead team members to deliver high standards of customer experience through effective store merchandising, replenishment and customer service. This role spans across our Home, Beauty and Play & Create worlds, requiring strong product knowledge and the ability to adapt to varied priorities. Visual Merchandise Managers ensure a safe and compliant store environment through effective process execution and team leadership. As process leaders and implementers of business initiatives, they navigate complexity to keep the store running smoothly and delivering strong results.


Experience and Expertise

  • Visual Merchandise Managers at Anko play an important role in managing the day‑to‑day operations of our stores – using data to track department performance, forecasting sales and managing department budgets to maximise productivity.
  • Responsible for leading operations on the sales floor – driving performance, supporting overall operations and ensuring smooth execution of daily tasks.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to achieve business objectives, including sales targets and brand consistency.
  • Create and manage visually appealing in‑store displays in line with brand merchandising guidelines.
  • Lead teams to deliver exceptional customer service by implementing insights and driving continuous improvement.
  • Build team capability through coaching, training and effective recruitment selection – fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring strong team engagement through values, ways of working and expected behaviours.
  • Implement safety processes to ensure compliance with regulations – delivering safety training, supporting injury management and promoting a safe work environment.


Technical Ability

  • Experience using business administration tools and technology to manage people, process, inventory and budgets.
  • Strong ability to interpret and use data to monitor sales, forecast trends and drive strategic decision making.
  • Experience in rostering and scheduling systems to ensure optimal staff coverage, compliance and productivity.
  • Confident decision‑maker who understands store operations and procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills in building relationships, managing teams and driving positive change effectively.
