Job Description
The Legal Counsel provides comprehensive legal support across the company, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks and protecting the company’s interests. The role mitigates legal risks and facilitates smooth business operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on contracts, regulatory, governance and compliance matters.
- Develop compliance programs, conduct audits, and ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
- Manage litigation, coordinate with external counsel, and develop resolution strategies.
- Oversee corporate governance practices and maintain corporate records.
- Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage organizational risks.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and represent the company at relevant events.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or Juris Doctor).
- Minimum 5 years of legal practice at a law firm.
- Minimum 1 year experience as an in-house lawyer, at least at the Senior Associate level or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in corporate, commercial law and regulatory compliance.
- Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar.
- In-depth understanding of corporate and commercial legal frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Insights into legal matters relevant to real estate, construction, IT, telecommunications, data security, privacy laws and other related laws.
- Skills in contract drafting, review and negotiation.
- Skills in litigation management and strategy development.
