Responsibilities:
- Research new technologies, products, materials, cable designs, packaging, and applications based on market and customer needs.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses of new products, materials, packaging, and processes.
- Monitor industry trends, product technologies, and regulations related to wires and cables.
- Coordinate product development trials with the MES Team using new materials, designs, processes, and equipment.
- Perform comparative product testing and analysis against local and international competitors.
- Coordinate product testing and certifications with the Quality Assurance (QA) team.
- Prepare technical presentations on product studies, new technologies, performance, costs, and benefits for Manufacturing and Sales teams.
- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate superior Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Research and Development (R&D), preferably in the wire and cable industry.
- Knowledge of product research, development, testing, materials, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Understand and follow safety procedures and identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate effectively and help teams achieve company goals.
- Understand customer needs and respond appropriately to requests and complaints.
- Demonstrate professionalism, honesty, and compliance with company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and work methods.
- Demonstrate accountability, responsibility, and initiative.
