REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design.
Skills:
o Exceptional fashion sense and up-to-date knowledge of color trends and the fashion industry. o Proficiency in CAD software (Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator). o Strong understanding of garment proportions, pattern making, and sewing. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). o Experience in designing children's clothing, either locally or internationally, is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Brainstorming/Conceptualization: Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative design ideas aligned with the seasonal theme. Collaborate with the team to research fashion trends, ensuring designs reflect the Creative Director’s vision. Contribute to discussions on color palettes, silhouettes, fabrics, prints, graphics, and embellishments to create a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing collection. Confidently present design concepts to the team for feedback and refinement. 2. CADs/Digital & Manual Illustrations: Create manual sketches for brainstorming and concept development. Produce digital illustrations for finalizing collections, presenting styling concepts, and collaborating with the Sample Dept., MPCD, Visual, and Export Departments. Efficiently create Technical Packs, ensuring smooth progression in collection development. 3. Fabric Print Artwork/Graphics/Embellishments: Work with graphic artists to develop seasonally themed prints, graphics, and embellishments. Ensure that colors and techniques align with the cultural theme, while coordinating with the team for approval from the Creative Director. Complete copyright forms to verify the originality of all artworks, avoiding legal issues. Collaborate with R&D and Artists on lab dips and strike-offs to ensure color matching and consistency. 4. Initial Techpacks: Assist in preparing technical packs, outlining specifications and construction guidelines. Work with pattern makers on styles requiring draping or mock-ups, ensuring the Sample Dept. understands the garment construction. Complete all details to ensure smooth proto-sampling. 5. Fittings: Collaborate effectively with fitters and pattern makers during fittings. Provide constructive feedback to streamline the fitting process, reducing the need for revisions and ensuring efficient protosample production. 6. Forms/Email/Meetings: Assist with crucial forms such as the AAG (At a Glance), copyright forms, and FCS meetings. Contribute to the creation and distribution of AAG forms, including digital drawings and style details for all departments. Participate in FCS meetings to discuss styles, fabric, construction, embellishments, and cost
- saving strategies. 7. Styling: Style collections with a keen sense of contemporary fashion while maintaining brand identity and alignment with the seasonal theme.
