Location:
Remote (Philippines/NZ collaboration Employment Type: Full-time, Remote He/ She must have a can-do attitude to be able to meet deadlines set by clients. Role Overview We are seeking a Remote Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, tendering, budget control, and financial reporting across our commercial, industrial, and infrastructure project portfolio. Operating remotely, you will work closely with project managers, site directors, and client teams in New Zealand to ensure profitability, accurate material take-offs, and risk management from pre-construction through to final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimating & Take-Offs: Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BoQ), and detailed material take-offs for commercial, industrial, solar, and infrastructure electrical scope. Tender & Bid Management: Evaluate tender documents, pricing schedules, sub-contractor proposals, and submit competitive bids aligned with company profit margins. Variations & Claims: Measure, cost, and negotiate project variations, scope changes, and progress claims accurately. Cost Control & Valuation: Track monthly progress valuations, cash flow forecasting, and cost value reconciliations (CVR) across ongoing projects. Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Assess subcontractor quotes, prepare scope documentation, and ensure value for money across materials and sub-trades. Final Accounts: Prepare and agree on final accounts with clients and main contractors, resolving any financial disputes amicably. Requirements & Qualifications

Experience:
Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on Electrical, MEP, or Construction subcontracting. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems (commercial fitouts, mains power, automation, data, solar, and switchboards).

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Building Science. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in estimation and takeoff software (e.g., CostX, Cubit, Planswift, or Excel) and cloud project management tools. Remote Work Capability: Strong self-management, high attention to detail, and a reliable remote working setup. Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills; ability to coordinate seamlessly with teams operating in New Zealand standard time (NZST/NZDT). Standards Awareness: Familiarity with New Zealand construction contracts (e.g., NZS 3910 / NZS 3916) or standard international SMM principles is highly advantageous.
