Ayala Corporation has formed a joint venture with CP AXTRA, Thailand’s leading wholesale and retail operator, to bring Makro to the Philippines. The venture aims to introduce differentiated wholesale format and assortment to the Philippines to address unmet local demand for high-quality, fresh food products.
Role Overview
The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing Makro’s cash, liquidity, funding, and financial risk, to meet financial obligations while optimizing returns, ensuring the financial stability of the business. The role oversees day-to-day treasury operations, banking relationships, cash forecasting, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cash management and administration
• Oversight on collections and disbursements, including process automation and interface with ERP system
• Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
• Investment of funds
• Management of credit, interest and forex exposure
• Capital structuring (e.g. borrowing and other fund sourcing, dividend program)
• Banking relations
• Management of working capital (receivables, payables)
• Preparation of treasury policies and procedures
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related program
• Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity, and financial instruments.
• Familiarity with ERP and/or Treasury Management Systems
• Experience in managing banking relationships, and collection and payment processes
• Strategic leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
The following will be an advantage:
• Experience in a large-format retail organization
• Experience in debt financing
• Familiarity with multinational or multi-currency environments
