MUJI's Management Trainee Program is a career track designed to develop highly motivated new graduates into future store managers and headquarters executives. You will begin by gaining hands-on experience in customer service, store operations, inventory management, and other frontline tasks, learning the fundamentals of MUJI’s business from the ground up.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Store Operations & Customer Experience
- Gain hands-on experience in daily store operations, including cashiering, customer service, receiving, replenishment, and inventory management.
- Maintain MUJI standards for store presentation, product availability, cleanliness, and customer experience.
- Develop strong product knowledge and effectively assist customers.
• Sales & Business Management
- Monitor daily sales, store KPIs, customer traffic, and product movement.
- Analyze business performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, and profitability.
- Support sales planning, forecasting, and execution of action plans.
• Visual Merchandising & Inventory
- Implement MUJI's VMD standards and support product displays, launches, and seasonal changes.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock levels, replenishment, and product movement.
- Identify and address inventory and merchandising concerns.
• People Management & Leadership
- Support shift operations, manpower allocation, task delegation, and daily briefings.
- Coach and guide team members on customer service and operational standards.
- Progressively take responsibility for leading teams and managing store activities.
• Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational and business challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Lead or participate in projects that improve sales, customer experience, inventory, and productivity.
- Present recommendations and project results to Store and Area Management. QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Retail Management, Hospitality Management, Psychology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Language
Skills:
Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Personal Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a desire to manage a team.
• Alignment with the Brand: Understanding of and alignment with MUJI’s philosophy (simplicity, quality, sustainability).
