PRIMARY PURPOSE We are looking for a CAD operator who will be responsible for preparing technical drawings and coordination drawings and shop drawings for our organization. The role supports architects, engineers and project teams by producing accurate and detailed drawings that comply with project requirements, company standards and applicable regulations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, revise, and update technical drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed designs using CAD software.
- Prepare architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings in accordance with project requirements and design specifications.
- Interpreting projects briefs and meeting with clients, engineers, and architects to ensure all blueprints and technical drawings are completed to specifications
- Creates rough design sketches and converts them into accurate shop drawings, plans, and blueprints using CAD applications.
- Visits project sites to obtain accurate measurements, document existing conditions, and identify design limitations.
- Maintains professionalism when receiving feedback and promptly incorporates required revisions into drafting.
- Proactively reports potential design concerns and discrepancies to the project architects and engineers.
- Willing to work extended hours when necessary to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
- Conducting research when required.
- Prepares Minutes of Meeting when required. EDUCATION, TECHNICAL CAPABILITY AND CAREER
- Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Drafting Technology, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- At least 1–3 years of experience as a CAD Operator, Draftsperson, or in a related drafting role.
- Experience working on architectural, engineering, or construction projects is an advantage. KEY SKILLS
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM software is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of construction drawings, drafting standards, and technical documentation.
- Excellent English communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
