About the role
Join the dynamic team at FWD Life Insurance Corporation as an Actuarial Specialist for Pricing or Valuation. In this full-time role based in Taguig City, Metro Manila, you will play a key part in shaping the company's strategic initiatives within the insurance industry. What you'll be doing
- Perform actuarial analyses to support the pricing and valuation of insurance products
- Develop and maintain pricing and valuation models to ensure accurate and compliant reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for product development and improvement
- Prepare detailed actuarial reports and analyses to support business decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure the company's compliance
- Participate in the implementation of new actuarial systems and processes
- Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior actuarial staff What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in an actuarial role, preferably within the insurance industry
- Fellowship or Associate status with a recognized actuarial society (e.g. Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Actuarial Society of the Philippines)
- Strong technical expertise in actuarial modelling, pricing and valuation methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in using actuarial software and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor more junior staff
