We are looking for a Research and Development (R&D) Assistant to support the analysis, development, and improvement of cosmetic products created or handled by the company.
The R&D Assistant will assist with laboratory testing, product trials, documentation, product stability testing, and regulatory compliance to ensure that products meet quality, safety, and client specifications.
This role will also support analytical validation and product innovation, including the operation and maintenance of GC-MS (Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry) instrumentation and other laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, particularly GC-MS (Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry).
- Assist in the development and reformulation of cosmetic products based on client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Conduct laboratory trials, bench-scale experiments, and pilot batches under the supervision of the Product Development Manager.
- Perform bench-scale testing of experimental formulations and raw materials to evaluate performance and stability.
- Conduct stability testing and monitor product performance under different environmental conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including formulation records, test results, and technical reports.
- Assist in preparing product specifications, technical data sheets, and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support product validation and production activities.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness, safety, and compliance with GMP and company standards.
- Support troubleshooting of formulation and production-related issues. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related science field.
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in Research & Development or laboratory work.
- Hands-on experience with GC-MS operation and basic data interpretation is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive willingness to learn.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively in a team environment. Preferred Skills
- Experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or chemical product development
- Familiarity with GMP, laboratory documentation practices, and product stability testing
Job Type
Full-time Pay: Php21,000.00
- Php25,000.00 per month
