Role Description
The Optometrist is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati.
The role involves performing comprehensive eye examinations, assessing visual acuity, diagnosing refractive errors, and prescribing corrective lenses.
The Optometrist will evaluate patients for ocular health issues, provide management plans, and refer to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary.
Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on eye care, documenting clinical findings accurately, collaborating with clinical and administrative staff, and supporting pre
- and post-operative care for laser, screening and consultations for clinical trial patients and other eye procedures. The Optometrist is expected to maintain high standards of patient care, follow clinic protocols, and contribute to a positive, efficient clinical environment. Qualifications Licensed Optometrist with a valid professional registration in the Philippines. Strong clinical skills in refraction, contact lens fitting, and comprehensive eye examinations. Knowledge of common ocular diseases, diagnostic techniques, and co-management of surgical and laser procedures. Effective communication and patient education skills, with a focus on clear, empathetic care. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary eye care team and follow established clinical protocols. Good organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in patient records. Comfort using electronic medical records and basic digital tools in a clinical setting. Willingness to work on-site in Makati on a regular full-time schedule. Prior experience in an eye clinic, hospital, or similar setting is an advantage. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in optometry and eye care.
