Responsibilities

Receiving & Inspection: Unloading incoming shipments from delivery vehicles and verifying them against purchase orders or delivery notes. You are responsible for identifying damaged goods or quantity discrepancies immediately.
Inventory Management: Organizing and storing merchandise in designated shelves or racks. This includes performing regular stock checks and audits.
Order Fulfillment: "Picking" items from storage according to order slips, then packing and labeling them securely for shipment to prevent damage during transit.
Loading & Dispatch: Moving processed orders to the shipping bay and assisting in loading them onto outgoing delivery vans or trucks.
Facility Maintenance: Upholding standards (cleanliness and organization) to prevent hazards like spills or blocked walkways.

Key Skills & Qualifications

The role requires significant stamina for long hours of standing, bending, and lifting items often weighing up to 50 lbs.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems or basic inventory software is increasingly standard for scanning barcodes and updating digital records.
Most employers, require minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail to avoid fulfillment errors and excellent teamwork skills, as warehouses rely on high-speed, coordinated throughput.
