(Fixed-Term Contract with Option for Regularization)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must always be current on all required trainings, licenses and certificates.
- Ensures all Company and flight training requirements are met.
- Train staff, enforcing adherence to standards.
- Coordinate with management and FAA/CAAP personnel when necessary.
- Develops and reviews standard maintenance operating policy in area of responsibility on a periodic basis to ensure effectiveness. Recommends changes as needed to ensure safety is not compromised.
- Ensure compliance of national, state laws and regulations including civil aviation regulations.
- Performs quality maintenance, preventive maintenance and inspections to conform within company standards, national regulation and industry best practices achieving the highest reliability goals.
- Accomplishes assignments in accordance with the FAA/CAAP Code of Civil Regulations, industry best practices.
- Responsible for ensuring airworthiness as defined in FAA FAR/CAAP PCAR by researching permanent records, maintenance tracking program, FAA/CAAP Airworthiness Directives and Manufacturer's Service Bulletins on aircraft.
- Complies with internal WAAI policies and procedures outlined within the Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Maintenance Operations Manual (MOM) or any other standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Maintains a safe work environment and reports any unsafe conditions.
- Troubleshoots reported mechanical discrepancies and handles complex technical challenges.
- Ensures all required entries into the aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and preserved in accordance with company and FAA/CAAP requirements.
- Updates and interfaces with computerized maintenance tracking program.
- Responsible for the procurement of parts and materials.
- Performs maintenance planning, along with management oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications, as assigned.
- Encouraged to proactively provide recommendations for modifications and upgrades, as necessary.
- Assists in the research and establishment of contracts, publications, and subscriptions in support of the aircraft maintenance.
- Maintains a purchase order log for all expenditures on assigned aircraft.
- May have external maintenance monitoring responsibilities with third party vendors and contractors
- Assumes additional duties as delegated by the Operations Manager.
- To strictly comply with company values, policies, and procedures.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of Airframe & Powerplant Course (2 or 4 years)
- With valid CAAP A&P License
- FAA license is an advantage
- With trainings in turbine helicopters
- With other aviation related training/s
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years' experience in General Aviation.
- Experience in rotary aircraft maintenance
- Experience in turbine engines
- Ratings in R66, A109, EC130/135, and other turbine helicopters is a plus
REQUIRED SPECIAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably with good written and communication skills in English, Tagalog & local dialects.
- With LTO Driver's license is an advantage.
- With other aviation related skills.
- Willing to be assigned/based outside Metro Manila.
- Willing to work on weekends, holidays & beyond regular working hours
