AGUSTA A109C HELICOPTER MECHANIC

(Fixed-Term Contract with Option for Regularization)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Must always be current on all required trainings, licenses and certificates.
  2. Ensures all Company and flight training requirements are met.
  3. Train staff, enforcing adherence to standards.
  4. Coordinate with management and FAA/CAAP personnel when necessary.
  5. Develops and reviews standard maintenance operating policy in area of responsibility on a periodic basis to ensure effectiveness. Recommends changes as needed to ensure safety is not compromised.
  6. Ensure compliance of national, state laws and regulations including civil aviation regulations.
  7. Performs quality maintenance, preventive maintenance and inspections to conform within company standards, national regulation and industry best practices achieving the highest reliability goals.
  8. Accomplishes assignments in accordance with the FAA/CAAP Code of Civil Regulations, industry best practices.
  9. Responsible for ensuring airworthiness as defined in FAA FAR/CAAP PCAR by researching permanent records, maintenance tracking program, FAA/CAAP Airworthiness Directives and Manufacturer's Service Bulletins on aircraft.
  10. Complies with internal WAAI policies and procedures outlined within the Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Maintenance Operations Manual (MOM) or any other standard operating procedures (SOP).
  11. Maintains a safe work environment and reports any unsafe conditions.
  12. Troubleshoots reported mechanical discrepancies and handles complex technical challenges.
  13. Ensures all required entries into the aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and preserved in accordance with company and FAA/CAAP requirements.
  14. Updates and interfaces with computerized maintenance tracking program.
  15. Responsible for the procurement of parts and materials.
  16. Performs maintenance planning, along with management oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications, as assigned.
  17. Encouraged to proactively provide recommendations for modifications and upgrades, as necessary.
  18. Assists in the research and establishment of contracts, publications, and subscriptions in support of the aircraft maintenance.
  19. Maintains a purchase order log for all expenditures on assigned aircraft.
  20. May have external maintenance monitoring responsibilities with third party vendors and contractors
  21. Assumes additional duties as delegated by the Operations Manager.
  22. To strictly comply with company values, policies, and procedures.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Graduate of Airframe & Powerplant Course (2 or 4 years)
  2. With valid CAAP A&P License
  3. FAA license is an advantage
  4. With trainings in turbine helicopters
  5. With other aviation related training/s

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

  1. At least 5 years' experience in General Aviation.
  2. Experience in rotary aircraft maintenance
  3. Experience in turbine engines
  4. Ratings in R66, A109, EC130/135, and other turbine helicopters is a plus

REQUIRED SPECIAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. Preferably with good written and communication skills in English, Tagalog & local dialects.
  2. With LTO Driver's license is an advantage.
  3. With other aviation related skills.
  4. Willing to be assigned/based outside Metro Manila.
  5. Willing to work on weekends, holidays & beyond regular working hours
