IT Auditor

The IT Auditor position will be directly employed to Energy Development Corporation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Executes the section's audit plan by performing assigned audit works which are geared towards ensuring that governance, control and risk management systems over critical areas of Company's operations are working effectively and efficiently as designed to meet Company objectives.
• Conduct audit engagement, from planning, audit fieldwork up to reporting and communication of audit results to auditees.
• Evaluate the adequacy of controls over the assigned areas subject of the audit while applying various audit tools and techniques i.e. analytical review, computer aided audit techniques or data analytics, flowchart, root cause analysis, risk assessment, quantitative techniques, etc.
• Evaluate the significance of the audit findings noted and formulate conclusion on the overall adequacy of controls over the business areas being audited.
• Discuss the results of the audit including audit issues and recommendations and monitor, follow up and document the status of outstanding audit issues, recommendations and agreed actions with management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BS graduate in either Accounting, Auditing, Engineering, Information Technology, Management, Business Administration. Preferably a licensed professional.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in internal auditing or related field such as accounting, business process or IT systems analysis, programs or operations evaluation.
• Preferably a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or holder of other related certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
• Has attended trainings on other audit-related technical trainings to improve competency and keep abreast with developments in audit profession.
• High standards of integrity, independence and objectivity.
• Considerable skill in using word processing, spreadsheets and other business software.
• Highly analytical and good problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Willing to be assigned in Ortigas Center, Meralco Ave., Pasig City
• Amenable to report onsite at least 5x per month
