Financial Accounting & Reporting (Accounting)

Financial Accounting & Reporting

· Participate in the financial statement closing process for both group and local reporting, including journal entry preparation and generation of financial and management reports.

· Deliver accurate and timely financial data to management, auditors, and regulatory agencies such as the IC, SEC, and Financial Controls Team.

· Perform monthly account reconciliations by:

· Preparing complete reconciliation packages in line with Account Reconciliation Standards.

· Monitoring and resolving reconciling items to ensure account balances are accurate.

· Coordinating with various departments to address outstanding reconciliation issues.

· Identifying control gaps and suggesting process improvements.

· Prepare statutory financial statements and regulatory reports (e.g., Quarterly Reports, Annual Statements, SEC and IC submissions).

· Ensure all reports and payments to regulatory bodies (SEC, IC, BSP, LGUs, etc.) are completed accurately and submitted on time.

Internal Controls and Audit

· Document financial accounting and reporting processes and workflows.

· Review and update policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.

· Assist in compiling audit documentation and respond to internal audit inquiries.

Finance Initiatives Support

· Participate in key finance projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and automation efforts.

· Contribute to broader finance priorities and organizational initiatives.

Administrative Functions

· Maintain organized records (both physical and digital) of all documents submitted to regulators.

· Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulators.

· Support various finance and management reporting needs.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accountancy

· With or Without license

· Background in account reconciliation

· Experience in corporate accounting or audit (experience in financial institutions preferred)

· Exposure to process improvement and automation initiatives is advantageous

· Can Start ASAP

Preferred Skills:

· Proficiency in financial reporting and preparation of accounting schedules

· Strong knowledge of IFRS, PFRS, and local accounting and regulatory requirements

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines

· Effective communication and active listening skills

· Advanced analytical and presentation capabilities

· Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
