Production Planning & Control

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
  • Ensure optimal use of manpower, machines, and materials.
  • Coordinate with prepress, press, and post-press departments to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines and customer commitments.

Quality Management

  • Ensure all printed products meet company and customer quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures across production stages.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, reprints, and customer complaints.
  • Ensure color consistency, print accuracy, and finishing quality.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate production staff including supervisors, operators, and helpers.
  • Assign duties, manage shifts, and monitor attendance and productivity.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and a safe working environment.

Equipment & Maintenance

  • Oversee proper use and maintenance of printing and finishing equipment.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Work with suppliers and technicians for machine servicing and upgrades.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and efficient machine performance.

Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Control production costs including waste, spoilage, overtime, and consumables.
  • Monitor material usage and minimize paper, ink, and plate wastage.
  • Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Prepare production reports and analyze performance metrics.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce workplace safety rules and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct safety training and incident investigations when required.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Coordinate with sales, customer service, and procurement teams to ensure accurate job specifications.
  • Participate in job handovers and production meetings.
  • Support new product development and special projects.
