Odoo Funtional Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant to join our remote team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to analyze business requirements, implement Odoo ERP modules, and ensure system optimization. This role suits someone who thrives in a flexible, remote environment and has hands-on experience customizing Odoo to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business requirements across various departments (Accounting, Sales, Inventory, HR, CRM, etc.).
• Configure, customize, and deploy Odoo modules according to client workflows and specifications.
• Collaborate with developers to translate functional requirements into technical deliverables.
• Conduct testing, training sessions, and provide post-implementation support to end-users.
• Manage data migration and assist with system integrations to ensure smooth operation.
• Prepare functional documentation, SOPs, and user manuals for implemented modules.
• Offer continuous improvement recommendations and troubleshoot functional issues.
• Communicate proactively with clients and project teams regarding timelines, progress, and challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
• At least 2–3 years of proven experience implementing and managing Odoo ERP systems.
• Strong functional knowledge of core Odoo modules: Accounting, Sales, Inventory, Purchase, Manufacturing, and HR.
• Ability to understand and map business processes into Odoo workflows.
• Excellent English communication and client interaction skills.
• Self-driven, reliable, and capable of managing multiple remote projects independently.
• Experience with both Odoo Community and Enterprise editions.

Preferred Skills & Nice-to-Haves

• Odoo certification or experience in full-cycle ERP implementation.
• Basic technical knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, or API integrations.
• Background in business analysis or process optimization.
• Experience working with global clients or remote project teams.
