About the Company:

A dynamic legal tech startup specializing in providing client-centered legal and tax services. We are helping founders and business owners with their tax and legal matters by automating, compiling, fact-finding, and other pre-filing admin. Our team is passionate about understanding and meeting our clients' needs while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Role Overview:

As a Client Success Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our fast-moving legal tech startup. Your role will involve handling administrative, clerical, and operational tasks that help automate and simplify legal and tax procedures. This position is perfect for someone detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and excited to contribute to the evolution of legal and tax services through innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Legal Assistance: Conduct legal research, draft and proofread documents (e.g., NDAs, contracts), and coordinate with internal/external legal counsel.
  2. Paralegal Duties: Maintain and organize legal files, assist with case management, and monitor deadlines for filings.
  3. Project Management: Track project timelines, organize tasks, ensure timely completion of deliverables, and assist with client communications as needed.
  4. Operational Support: Build up internal workflows (e.g., SOPs, internal knowledge wikis and repositories), and assist with client and project documentation.
  5. Immediate Tasks
    1. Get familiar with our document management systems and file organization standards.
    2. Start assisting in the preparation of corporate-related forms and documents.
    3. Begin gathering and organizing client documents for ongoing cases.
    4. Attend introductory meetings with attorneys and paralegals to understand current cases and workflows.
    5. Research Projects: researching laws and creating net new SOPs to help the company expand operations to new states
Requirements

Must-Have:
  • 1-3 years of administrative or office experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Proven experience as an Operations Specialist, Client Success Assistant, Legal Assistant, etc
  • Proficiency in the following software/tools: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Adobe Acrobat; Google Workspace (Gmail); Slack; CRM tools; multi-line telephone systems.
  • Customer-service oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience in building SOPs, systems, etc.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience working with remote teams.
  • Experience in legal and tax services
