GENERAL JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for safely transporting vessel crew members to and from ports during crew change operations, shore-based employees during official field work/out-of-base assignment, as well as delivering critical vessel parts, supplies, and documents to designated locations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • With Valid Professional Driver's License (with appropriate restrictions for vehicle type used).
  • At least 2 years of driving experience, preferably in a logistics, port, or maritime-related environment.
  • Familiarity with port operations, crew changes, and delivery protocols is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of local traffic laws, routes, and port areas.
  • Clean driving record.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely transport seafarers to/from ports, airports, designated crew accommodations during embarkation and disembarkation, and official field work/out-of-base assignment of shore-based employees.
  • Deliver ship spare parts, documents, provisions, and other supplies to/from vessels, shipyards, and supplier locations.
  • Ensure all trips are executed in a timely manner, coordinating closely with port agents, crewing personnel, and logistics teams.
  • Assist crew during transfers by providing basic support such as handling luggage and ensuring they reach their destination safely.
  • Monitor traffic and port conditions to avoid delays in critical crew change schedules or deliveries.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy at all times.
  • Maintain a log of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery/crew transport records.
  • Follow all road safety rules and company protocols, especially when operating within port premises.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately to the designated supervisor.
