Electrician

Job Summary

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role involves reading blueprints, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring that all work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulations. The Electrician plays a critical role in keeping electrical systems reliable, safe, and energy-efficient while supporting operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and circuit schematics.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure electrical systems comply with local codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and hazards.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other technicians on installation or repair projects.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including maintenance and repair logs.
• Follow workplace safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Provide guidance or training to apprentices or junior electricians when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical/vocational program in Electrical Technology preferred.
• Proven experience as an Electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, troubleshooting, and repair practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Skilled in using electrical testing tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, at heights, or outdoors.
• Willingness to work overtime, shifts, or be on-call depending on operational needs.

Willing to be assigned full-time in Tondo, Manila.
